Purpose of the program;

• Have the necessary professional background and academic knowledge in the field of history,
• To follow scientific developments in the field of history at national and international level,
• Sensitive about academic ethics and morality
• Investigative spirit,
• Develop a new scientific method or apply a scientific method to a different field, 
• To train historians who can research, comprehend, design and implement an original subject.

Program objective:

The aim of the program is to educate historians who are committed to Atatürk’s Principles and Revolutions and the contemporary values of the Republic of Turkey, who are academically competent in the field of Turkish, Islamic, European and World History, who can closely follow the developments in the field of history at national and international level, who are competent in historical methodology, who have the competence to conduct scientific research and project execution, who are sensitive to academic ethics and morality, who can handle historical sources with a critical and interpretative approach.
