Vision of our program; To educate young historians who are committed to Atatürk's Principles and Revolutions and the contemporary values of the Republic of Turkey, who have sufficient knowledge of Turkish and World History, who are competent in historical methodology and research methods, who can closely follow the developments in the field of history at national and international level, who have the ability to conduct scientific research, who are sensitive about academic ethics and morality, and who can look critically at historical events. In addition, it aims to raise highly qualified individuals who think creatively and positively, are hardworking, use their knowledge and experience for the benefit of all humanity, are useful to society, are productive and represent their country all over the world with the values they create. In line with the vision of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, it is a department that provides qualified education, produces knowledge at international level, continuously develops, contributes to society with the people it educates and the knowledge it produces, and is honored to be a member and student.

Mission of our program: To be a quality-oriented, innovative and entrepreneurial program that aims to educate knowledgeable, well-equipped, cultured and self-confident individuals in education and training; adopts the understanding of conducting practical, project-oriented and multidisciplinary research in scientific studies; seeks knowledge, affection and respect with the historical and rich texture of Çanakkale, observing sustainable relations with its stakeholders. The program has the mission of educating young historians who are equipped with the knowledge and skills to serve in every field of the profession of historiography, who have free and democratic personalities, who are equipped with entrepreneurial culture, who are harmonious, who have high participation in courses and research, who are prone to teamwork, who have internalized ethical values, who are sensitive to their environment and who have adopted the importance of lifelong learning.
